For over two decades, I have lived at the intersection of intentional pedagogy, rugged wilderness adventure, and strategic leadership. As the Executive Director and founder of the not-for-profit foundation, We Think Outside, and the co-founder of two thriving outdoor businesses, my life’s work is dedicated to breaking down traditional education's walls and building resilient, self-reliant leaders.
My foundational expertise stems from a Bachelor of Education, complemented by over 15 years of specialized teaching across the age spectrum and over 2 decades of powerful mentorship. As a National Geographic Certified Educator, my approach is a rich tapestry of multi-curricular frameworks, including Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, Forest School, and Unschooling. I don't just advocate for the outdoors from behind a desk; I lead from the front lines. I have spent over 11 years teaching Outdoor Education in extreme weather and seasons, supported by multi-sport coaching. My lifestyle is defined by the wild—whether I am climbing, snowboarding, extreme hiking, winter camping, or practicing traditional bushcraft skills like shooting, hunting, trapping, and fishing. By blending this deep wilderness expertise with over 5 years of business analysis and executive management, I design safe, high-consequence, high-reward learning environments. I hold full Remote Wilderness First Aid and CPR credentials and am proud to lead organizations that challenge individuals to step outside their comfort zones and discover their ultimate potential. |
