OVERVIEW & TARGET STUDENT

This workshop is for kids of all ages and abilities. It is a transformative 6-week, outdoor program designed to reshape how children navigate social dynamics, big emotions, and conflicts. By embedding social-emotional learning into the raw canvas of nature, the curriculum utilizes experiential, high-energy games to introduce controlled challenges where conflicts naturally arise. Instead of relying on adult referees to dictate solutions, children are equipped with real life tools that shift the responsibility of conflict resolution entirely into their own hands, culminating in a graduation as autonomous, peer-mediating Peace Makers.

This program is specifically tailored for children aged 5 to 15. At this developmental

stage, children heavily rely on concrete, physical experiences rather than abstract

reasoning to process emotional shifts. It is an ideal fit for energetic, tactile learners who thrive in nature, as well as children experiencing playground friction over shared space or toys, providing them with a rigid yet deeply intuitive framework for justice,

restorative accountability, and lasting community bonds.

The Fine Print: We teach the "real stuff" in real environments, which means safety and readiness are non-negotiable. We Think Outside reserves the right to withdraw any student from a program if our expert team determines they do not yet have the required skill level or readiness for the terrain. Withdrawal may also occur due to missing essential gear/materials, incomplete payments, or conduct issues. We are committed to a high-quality experience, and that starts with ensuring everyone on the trail is fully prepared.
