*each workshop will include a 60/40 split of workshop teaching time & exploring and free-time in the forest.
OVERVIEW & TARGET STUDENT
This multi-sensory, sequentially structured cumulative workshop develops literacy: reading, writing, and spelling for emergent and continuing readers and writers. Foundational knowledge that builds a solid foundation for literacy: reading, spelling, writing, and speaking. Learn how without memorizing it all! With math as an addition!
It is time to learn to read, spell, write, follow instructions, speak, and understand language, or your person is struggling to learn the wonderful words of language; this is where to begin. Age is not a requirement. Changing “I can’t read” to “I can do it!” Read, write, and spell” confidently is the goal.
EDUCATION STANDARDS
- Language - phonemic awareness
- Language - letter formation, sequencing, reversals, spacing, words & sentences
- Sequencing information - months, days, ABC, numbers, directions
- Vocabulary - word bank
- Multi-sensory learning, sensory integration, and coordination
- Memory training
- Math - it's a language too!

We Think Outside reserves the right to withdraw any student from a program if our expert team determines they do not yet have the required skill level or readiness for the terrain. Withdrawal may also occur due to missing essential gear/materials, incomplete payments, or conduct issues.
