Mike Ross

​​Michael Ross is an educator, mentor, and experiential learning guide based in Kelowna, BC. He has spent nearly twenty years teaching and designing learning experiences that help young people grow through curiosity, challenge, creativity, and connection to place. His background includes outdoor education, gifted enrichment, entrepreneurship, Quest BC, Wonder Club, and land-based learning with students in the Okanagan.

Micheal holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Technology and did doctoral work at UBC in Educational Leadership and Policy, with a focus on neurodiversity, inclusion, land-based education, mental health, water and the learning environment. 

He has led students through wilderness expeditions, field studies, sustainability projects, passion-based learning, and community-connected programs.

At the heart of Michael's work is a simple belief: young people thrive when they feel known, trusted, challenged, and connected to the world around them. 

He brings a calm, relational, and humble approach to mentorship, supporting students to become more confident, courageous, capable, kind, and curious learners.
